Here are some stories about how people were blessed as a part of previous Serve Days.
One of the things that is important to me in a church is community outreach. So, you can imagine my excitement when it was announced in 2007 that we were going to have a “Serve Day” where we went out to others in the community to lend a hand. We were able to help repair the home of a young single mom with three children. It was such a joy to have six or seven people offer to help to repair this lady’s home. To sum it up, we worked very long and hard, we were sore and very tired at days end but I think we workers were more blessed than the lady we helped. Because of the ServeDay project I became close friends with some people that I barely knew before. It was a blessing to know that the love of Christ was shown to this lady and her children.
